The list by global hotel rating website HotelsCombined has also listed some nude outdoor activities, an art festival, a bike ride in the buff, and spa treatments or hot springs, News reported.

First on the list is the World Naked Bike Ride, which is held annually on March 12 in cities around the world. People hop on their bikes naked to celebrate cycling and the naked body.

Second is the Naked Hot Springs Bathing in Ooedo-Onsen-Monogatari, Toyko, Japan, where tourists are able to strip off and soak in onsen - natural mineral-rich hot springs - as part of the Japanese tradition.

The name of the show — “Radical Acceptance” — was inspired by something said by one of Haynes’s models.

“It can refer to people looking at the art — it’s radical to accept something you’re not used to seeing,” said Haynes, referring to the non-airbrushed, typically older representations of the female body. “But it’s really about the models. It’s radical to realize you can change your feelings about your body and become powerful in your body.”

‘The blisters and sores on our backsides were bad and becoming infected. The only way we could treat them and continue rowing was to expose them to nature’s own remedy, sun and air.

‘It did mean that at times we had to row naked but if that was what was required to break the world record, then there was no choice. I decided to strip naked on day three or four because I had some big sores on my bottom and just thought I had to do it. My crew had stripped off the day before and were just getting on with it.

‘Being the fastest ever rowers across the Atlantic was all that mattered,’ said the former Great Britain rower.

If you thought those late-January days on the calendar were bare, then Feb. 1 is the full Monty. Today, in case you weren't aware, is now officially known as "Working Naked Day."

With more Americans working from home, the need for a spiffy new business suit has fallen the way of job benefits and co-workers you can complain to each day about your spouse, your kids and your neighbors.

Why I Want To Be A Nudist

I’ve been thinking lately about coming a nudist. Before you start
flipping out or thinking this is just another attention seeking blog
post topic that my heart isn’t really behind, hear me out. Nudism has
lots of benefits:


(1) It was God’s original plan. Yep,  it’s a known fact that he didn’t
clothe Adam and Eve until after they had sinned. God’s original plan
was for us to live an agricultural lifestyle, tending the Garden, sans
any pesky hindrances like clothes. I’m already a gardener, so I feel
like the only thing holding me back from God is my Old Navy skinny
jeans in True Denim. (My sister would agree, as she hates skinny
jeans.)


(2) Nudism increases vitamin D exposure. I am vehemently opposed to
sunscreen (unless I happen to get dropped near the equator in January
without any prior sun exposure) because it limits your intake of
vitamin D. Research is now linking lack of vitamin D (particularly in
childhood) to all sorts of things, including multiple sclerosis. It
only makes sense that the more skin exposed to the air, the more
vitamin D your body will absorb.


(3) Practicing nudism puts you in a small, but very close knit
community. A community that has its own restaurants, subdivisions, and
family resorts. It is like a whole extended family you never knew you
had!


(4) I think we wear clothes because we have oversexualized our
culture. Everything is about sex, but if everyone were naked, things
would be different. We would become so accustomed to the sight, we
would be less concerned with getting people to take their clothes off.
In fact, we might be asking people to put their clothes on which would
be a welcome change of pace, don’t you think?

"Private Parts"

A thoughtful post on private parts, and how to see them in a non-sexual way.

My thought pattern is this: if naturists feel that the human body is natural and beautiful, then why are we still labeling certain parts of the body as unclean or sexual. I know that's not really what we're trying to do, it's not even what we say out loud, it's just a common idea among the naturist crowd to suggest that a clear view of a woman's genitals is sexual. I disagree and say that as true nudists and naturists we should respect, admire, and accept every body part for the natural and wonderful beauty they possess. Overweight, underweight, tall, short, round, pear, thin, etc. Everybody is beautiful no matter what we've been given, and every part of our body is wonderful and not sexual until we use it as such, regardless of how we choose to expose it.

Naturist fights for the right to bare all

An avowed naturist hopes to establish a right to public nudity next week – regardless of whether it’s an opportune time of year to exercise it.

Brian Coldin, the owner of a nude resort in Barrie, Ont., intends to argue that a 80-year-old prohibition against public nudity impedes a perfectly harmless form of self-expression.

“It’s the way we were born,” Mr. Coldin said in an interview Monday. “I think this is totally unjust.”

Lawyers for Mr. Coldin assert that Canadians have come a long way since the laws were enacted in the 1930s. Not everyone is inclined to toss his or her own clothes aside, but most are quite prepared to see their friends and neighbours do so, they said.

“Canadians show significant tolerance for nudity and partial nudity, as evidenced by the proliferation of nude beaches, nudity on television and survey results that suggest that a significant number of Canadians have naturist tendencies,” lawyers Clayton Ruby and Nader Hassan said in a legal brief.

Naked at Home For a Week

Most people wake up in the morning and get dressed. Last week, I agreed to hop out of bed and not get dressed. I called it Naked Week.

I believe that a lot of things are better without clothes: Bubble baths, swimming under the stars, frolicking between the sheets. When it's time to cook dinner, scrub the tub or watch "The Big Bang Theory," I prefer to be wearing clothes.

I agreed to take it all off for a week in the name of journalism. At first, I was going to pass on the assignment. I had all sorts of excuses: How will I walk the dogs? What if the UPS man knocks on the door? It's too cold to be naked!

Capturing natural beauty

Local artist Helen Gotlib’s still lives and figurative drawings, paintings and etchings capture natural beauty, whether she is depicting the curves and wrinkles on a nude model or drawing the lines of a wilting flower onto one of her botanicals.

The artist has been creating portraits of nude females the longest. During her time as a artist in residence at the Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, California (in 2004 and 2005) she traveled around to different artists’ studios throughout the week to draw live nude models. Sometimes every day.

“The way real people look is beautiful to me, and that’s what I hope to convey," Gotlib says. PhotoShopped bodies with unnatural proportions that wouldn't work in the real world look strange to her. She thinks the natural curves found on real women’s bodies are “the lines I like to draw,” Gotlib says. “In fact, the way I draw sometimes puts extra weight on the body and makes them curvier than they actually are.”

Pitts, 32, also posed nude for "In My Body," a stunning collection of images of women as subjects of beauty. For more than 20 years, Macdonald has shot nudes of all shapes, sizes, ages, and ethnicities to celebrate the female form.

It's a state of undress, she says, that allows women to connect and gives them space to feel beautiful about themselves, and not, as how so many nude women are displayed, as a tool for men's peccadillos.

"I live for these photo shoots," Macdonald, 40, says. "I find the exchange so powerful. I've loved to learn my own body by photographing other women."

And they are something to celebrate: Skinny young women with small breasts, older, fleshy women with big breasts, breast-cancer survivors with no breasts, still standing.

And the exposure does not just lay in posing nude, says Ade Jaiye, 29, a full-time commercial model.

"I can look at my nude image and nine times out of 10, I can tell what I was going through," she said as she stared at the truth her equally naked facial expression conveyed.

Body Scanning good for Nudism

Americans are learning to accept their nude bodies as body scanning becomes routine at United States airports.  Soon folks will be able to accept nude bodies at beaches because it just won't seem like such a big deal anymore.  I predict a golden age of nudism in the next year and for many years into the future.

Nudists fight for bare essentials as swingers invade holiday colony

To make a French nudist blush might appear to be a mission impossible. Not at Cap d'Agde, on the Languedoc coast, home to "naked city", Europe's largest nudist holiday colony.

A long-simmering war between two tribes of the unclothed – "traditional" nudists and so-called "libertines" or exponents of free sex – exploded into a public protest at the town's council meeting this week.

Old-fashioned naturists have been complaining for years that Cap d'Agde's once-sedate nudist quarter has been disfigured by an influx of partner-swapping clubs and raunchy hotels. A flurry of arson attacks on sex clubs two years ago was blamed on low-level terrorism by nudist fundamentalists.

Rally for topless equality in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO -- The sight of men wearing bras or bikini tops hardly causes a ripple in San Francisco anymore, but on Sunday, a group of guys did so for a different purpose - to demand that women be allowed to legally bare their breasts in public.

Not because men want to see them, the protesters said. For justice.

"If we're supposed to be equal across the board, then women should be allowed to show their breasts," said Michael Staley, 43, who was topless except for a bustier and a straw hat. "Why can't they? Men can, women should, period."

More travelers willing to bare all on naked vacations, survey says

More travelers are willing to bare all in 2010, according to a TripAdvisor survey. Staycations are so 2009. It's nakations in 2010.

According to a recent TripAdvisor survey, there is one thing staying home more during vacations: clothing.

The online travel community asked 22,091 U.S. travelers if they would bare all at the beach and 48% said yes. This is up from last year's nude beach survey, in which 31% of respondents said they would "love to see and be seen" at a clothing-optional destination.

"Travelers indicate in their reviews that the real appeal of nude beaches has nothing to do with flaunting one's flesh or checking out the neighboring eye candy," said Amelie Hurst, a TripAdvisor spokeswoman. "Rather the spaces often benefit from a lack of crowds and beautiful settings that can be enjoyed by any demographic."
